The Kitchen Vigilante is based around the story of Charlie Carty who has worked his way up from kitchen porter to become a renowned chef and restaurant owner. Just when he is at the top of his game, Charlie’s life is shattered by the senseless murder of his brother.
Struggling with what he sees as the justice system's failure, Charlie takes matters into his own hands, seeking revenge against his brother's killer and other wrongdoers, becoming a vigilante, or in his own terms, an equaliser and ultimately waging war on organised crime in Glasgow.
